Let's Talk about Therapy Pricing

Starting therapy is an investment in your mental health, your relationships, and your overall well-being, but I also understand that cost is an undeniable factor when deciding whether therapy is accessible and sustainable.

My goal is to make the process as transparent as possible, so you know what to expect before booking your first session.

How much do therapy sessions cost?

A 50-minute individual therapy session is $185.

A 50-minute couples therapy session is $195.

I also offer longer 80-minute and 100-minute sessions for clients who feel they would benefit from additional time.

An 80-minute individual session is $277, and a 100-minute session is $370.

An 80-minute couples session is $292 and a 100-minute couples session is $390.

This price is all-inclusive; there is no added tax.

Our 15-minute consultation call is free and there’s no pressure to book afterwards.

It gives us a chance to explore your reasons for seeking therapy. I’ll answer any questions you have about me or my practice and if it feels like a good fit, we can book a session.

If it doesn’t feel like a good match, I’ll try to make sure you don’t leave empty handed, and see if I can match you with a trusted therapist from my network that might be a better fit.

If we complete our first session and you decide we’re not the right fit, I will refund you the session, and, if possible, refer you to a therapist from my trusted network who would be a better match based on your feedback.

My priority is that you find the right fit.

If you have limited insurance coverage or other limitations, share them with me. I will always be mindful, and create a treatment plan that takes the number of sessions you have into consideration.

I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. Outside of a medical emergency, appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice, as well as no-shows, are charged the full session fee.

Because I reserve your appointment exclusively for you, I ask that any cancellations or changes be made at least 48 hours in advance whenever possible. This gives me the opportunity to offer that time to another client who may be waiting for an appointment.

I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to help make therapy more accessible for those experiencing financial barriers. 50-minute sessions on my sliding scale cost $140.

Sliding scale fees are based on an honours system, and we’ll have a brief conversation about your circumstances to determine whether this option is the right fit (no detailed financial documentation is required). If you’re interested in learning more, feel free to ask me about it during our intake call.

Are therapy services covered by insurance?

Yes! My services are covered by health, union, and work insurance under Psychotherapy Services.

I do not currently offer direct billing. After each session, you’ll receive a receipt with all necessary details that you can submit to your provider for coverage.

If you have coverage but run into any issues with your insurer, I’m happy to provide support and speak directly with your insurance provider when needed.

If you are unsure whether your benefits cover psychotherapy, you can ask your insurer:

-Do I have coverage for Psychotherapy services?

-How much coverage do I have per year?

-Is there a maximum amount covered per session?

-Do I need a referral from a healthcare provider?
